Who we are
KOMUGE COMMUNITY INITIATIVE is a community-rooted organization in Eastern Uganda established to create a positive impact on the ever-growing challenges faced by people in hard-to-reach areas, particularly widows, single mothers, women living with HIV/AIDS, children, and out-of-school young people.
Our key program areas and their corresponding Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are:
WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) – SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
Education – SDG 4: Quality Education
Health – SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being
Livelihood (through vocational skilling and development training) – SDG 1: No Poverty
Through these targeted programs, KOMUGE COMMUNITY INITIATIVE is committed to improving lives and reducing inequalities in underserved communities.

Livelihood
We empower women and youth through vocational skills training, entrepreneurship, agricultural innovation, and access to group-based microfinance (VSLAs).

WASH
Our focus includes; Increasing access to safe and clean water, improving hygiene through rehabilitation and construction of pit latrines and water sources.

Education
Our focus includes ; facility upgrade, early childhood development, teacher capacity development, career guidance and mentorship etc.
