A Ray of Hope: Bridging Educational Gaps in Komuge, Eastern Uganda
While many large towns give children and young adults a wide range of educational options, tiny villages such as Komuge find it difficult to provide basic schooling.
In the eastern region of Uganda, the community of Komuge is among the most disadvantaged and marginalised villages. The community is located so far out in the country that it cannot participate in government programmes. The Komuge Community Initiative, one of the few local resources, has set up several educational programmes to give vulnerable children affordable education.
The organisation serves its objective of promoting human values through the execution of meaningful programmes, for the benefit of all, to build a resilient community with an improved standard of living, through its schemes and partnerships with local educational institutions.
