WASH

Here we focus on; health & hygiene awareness, rehabilitating & constructing water sources, & construction of decent latrines, distribution of sanitary towels, empowering girls to make reusable sanitary towels etc. This is a very critical aspect in the life of a school going young people and the community at large. A community (be it schools, students or locals) thrive when they have access and an integrated approach towards water, sanitation and hygiene. Our approach is based on;

• Strengthening of mandated institutions, such as school management committees, school development plan, and operation and maintenance.
• Engaging with students through existing school clubs i.e. WASH clubs in schools.
• Initiate hygiene and behaviour change with a key focus on menstrual hygiene management.
• Installing user friendly and inclusive facilities that are decent and of good hygiene.
